My Bio

Hello! My name is Christina Winters.  I’m very excited for my ninth year at San Tan!  I truly love being a roadrunner!  I was born and raised in the Mesa area.  I decided to get away from the heat and head north for college.  I attended Northern Arizona University where I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education and a minor in music.  During my time at NAU, I met my husband.  Adam and I were married December 20, 2009.  We now live in Mesa with our two dogs, Bailey and Oscar.

Some of my favorite activities are reading, cooking, playing hand bells, and singing in choir.  My husband and I both love Disney and we enjoy traveling to Disneyland whenever we have the chance.  Christmas is my favorite time of year and I love collecting Christmas tree ornaments.

As a child, I always looked up to my teachers and I knew from an early age that I wanted to spend my life teaching others.  I enjoy coming to work each day and interacting with my students.  I love how my students teach me new things every day.  My desire is to instill a love of learning in each of my students.

In 2011, I was honored to be chosen as one of the top ten charter school teachers in the state of Arizona.  I was also honored to receive an award of recognition from my fellow teachers during the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 school years.  “If you can dream it, you can do it.” – Walt Disney
